BMD 40DIN-L is a controller for linear actuators with DC brush motors. The controller regulates speed and movement direction of the actuator. Actuator speed is regulated by 0…5 VDC analog signal or can be adjusted by an internal potentiometer. Acceleration and deceleration time are also adjusted by potentiometers. The controller provides current limitation function to prevent overloading of the actuator.

Description of the controller BMD-40DIN-L for DC linear actuator

BMD-40DIN-L is a version of the BMD-40DIN controller specifically designed to control linear actuators. The device is designed to operate with actuators with DC brush motors with a power up to 960 W and a supply voltage up to 24 VDC. Actuator speed can be adjusted with analog input signal 0..5V, external or built-in potentiometer. Acceleration, direction and deceleration are set by internal regulators included in the design of the device.

Actuator speed can be adjusted with one of the follow methods:

  • internal potentiometer;
  • external potentiometer;
  • analog signal 0...5 VDC.

The controller BMD-40DIN-L performs the following functions:

  • start and stop a DC linear actuator by a button on the front panel or by an external signal;
  • analog regulation of actuator speed;
  • control of the rotation direction with a button on the front panel or an external signal;
  • setting the ration of acceleration and deceleration;
  • motor overload protection with adjustable rated current;
  • motor short circuit protection;
  • emergency stop of the linear actuator "HARD STOP" in the event of a break in the electrical circuit of the protection circuit.
